Growing Oakland County Automotive supplier is seeking a Program Manager. The position will be responsible for interior trim component programs from kick off to launch. The company is in a tremendous growth stage and offers a very generous benefit package and 401-K with match. .

Responsibilities:

  • Manages projects from kick off until project closure
  • Facilitate the PMT meetings, issuing in a timely manner the proper documentation for team members to review, and following up on issues before and after the PMT meetings; Ensure proper Plant personnel are informed
  • Maintain all PM schedules and customer documents. 
  • Manage pre-production build events with timelines, material orders/trackers and sample requests to support build quantities/trackers
  • Manage the engineering change process
  • Develop plans and track the completion of APQP and PPAP information
  • Adhere to and promote the quality certification process
  • Active interface with OEM and Tier 1 customers and suppliers
  • Visit customer locations & plants during major milestone events to support the teams.  Some travel to Mexico and locally
  • Annually participate and drive to closure cost savings and PIP projects

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or bachelor equivalent) in engineering or related field
  • 10+ years automotive industry experience
  • 5+ years of automotive program management experience
  • BS degree preferred and PMP certification preferred
  • Experience with (interior) automotive soft trim components preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional team to project completion through effective communication and relationship building
  • Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Project)
